Across Appalachia, we’re helping thousands of families mine the sun for clean energy to affordably power their homes and lives. From system design and engineering to affordable financing and installation, we’re experts in helping Appalachian families get solar power at home with no upfront cost.
Why go Solar Now?
The sooner you make the switch, the sooner you start saving money for your family and protect yourself from the utility’s rate hikes. There’s no time like the present to start saving with solar power at home.
What should I expect?
Solar is more of a home improvement project than an Amazon prime order, but that's why we're here! Our expert designers and sales team will develop the perfect system for your site and then our project managers will guide it to fruition.
Why Solar Holler?
Not to boast, but we’ve been doing solar in Appalachia for a decade and have it pretty dialed. Don’t take our word for it. Check out what your neighbors are saying here.
What are Your Options for Solar Power at Home ?
Now that we’re offering more than one way to save with solar at home (for some areas*) deciding what’s best for you can be tough. The good news is, whether you decide to buy or lease, you’re getting the same US made panels installed by the same highly skilled union workers. The systems, the amount of energy they’ll produce, and the production guarantees are exactly the same – the difference is only in the financing and ownership model.
If it’s your dream to own your solar panels and to maximize the total lifetime savings you’ll see by switching to solar power at home, by all means, you should take the leap and buy your system! Purchasing gives you more control over your payments because you have the ability to pay down the principal or to re-amortize. You also have the option to pay off your loan at any time.
If your main motivation is to see immediate savings on your electricity bill, then leasing might be the option for you! With a solar lease, there’s no credit check or financing required, you’ll take on no debt, and you don’t need any tax liability. We’ll own the system, so maintenance and monitoring for the next 25 years is entirely handled by our service team — unless you change your mind and want to buy the system. After 6 years, you have the option to purchase and have solar power at home. *Solar leasing is currently only available to West Virginia residents. We’re working to bring leasing to other areas soon.
