Since our start, we’ve been obsessed with accuracy – so much so that when we’re conducting a sunlight analysis we take our calculations out to the sixth decimal place. We even once crashed servers nationwide because we were performing millions of calculations simultaneously with our sunshine models.
With that obsession for accuracy, we’ve always been proud to stand behind the numbers we present to the homeowners we work with, and we’re now taking that a step further by offering a cash-back production guarantee on our residential installations.
If your system produces less than 95% of what we predict, we’ll pay you the difference.
So how does it work? It starts with a sunlight analysis of your home.
We use decades of historical weather data and take into account the direction your home is facing along with anything that may be shading it. We consider the pitch and orientation of your roof. We then create a 3D model of your roof layout and size – or your yard, if we’re designing a ground mount. Your 3D model then goes through a full year of simulated sunshine. This allows us to see how solar will really perform at your location.
Next, we look at a full year of your electricity usage by analyzing one of your recent electric bills. This shows us what your consumption needs are.
We take the production numbers from your sunlight analysis and compare that with your electric usage needs – by crunching these numbers, we can determine what percentage of your electricity will be covered by solar. This figure is known as your Annual Production Projection. If your solar system fails to meet 95% of your Annual Production Projection, we’re on the hook for the difference.
Solar is an unfamiliar technology to many folks and we understand feeling skeptical. Our production guarantee offers peace of mind and protection of your investment. We’re confident in our figures and we’re glad to back them up with our cash-back guarantee.
